The Easterday Mushroom Company began with a leap of faith taken by husband and wife Justin and Dima and brother Steffen Easterday. The three moved to Richmond, VA with no background in farming—just a shared determination to build something meaningful from the ground up.

Driven by relentless curiosity, they immersed themselves in the world of wood-grown gourmet mushrooms. They found a local mentor and began training at his farm while the mushroom building was under construction. The team spent months researching cultivation techniques, experimenting with grow methods, and slowly turning a vision into a fully operational farm.

Every block, every flush, every harvest was the result of hands-on learning and long days of trial and error. There were no shortcuts—just grit, long hours, and an unshakable belief in what they were building. What began as a dream shared by a family has grown into a business rooted in consistency, community, and deep respect for the process.
